The KickOff of Agile coaching academy

This academy is organized by a decent company. They have several sites around Europe.

They started to prepare this course in this summer and opened online for anybody around the world.

There was an open info session to share what and how they would like to organize this course. It will be eight weeks long and than a shadow coaching session.

I found it pretty nice, and really what I wanted to learn.

I already tried to pick-up some knowledge via meetups, books, conferences, online courses, podcast. But a real academy is really promising for me.

Than I had an online face-to-face interview with Arie and Nenand, I had the chance to introduce myself and talk about my expectations. In fact it was quick and dirty, because they send and re-send several times the invitations for this meeting, so I was alone in an online room for 10 minutes.

Now we had the kick-off. Really there are nice guys from Argentina to Bankok. We use English and they find starting the daily meetings at noon could fit for most of the participant.

There is an online tool for the meetings with very similar features as zoom has.

They shared again the agenda of the next weeks.

Arie expressed himself several times his appreciation. He say several times thank you for learning and being open. Maybe this is the main take-away for me from this event.

He shared he find agile coaches need agilist and coaching skills. We can not change people, they can change only themselves. The most important is being open to learn. And he said he understood learning as doing.

We are divided to several groups to work together. Maybe we will change members sometimes. I am with Guillaume and Prathan.

They have really nice experiences. I started agile very early, and they also. They have pretty technical background  also.

Let see the first sessions together.
