 We evented this evening warmer game for starting a hybrid meeting.

What we would like to solve

  • people are in the meeting room is not recognizable, they are far from the camera
  • offline team can focus the local people and online members lost
  • warm-up, icebreaker

The solution

  1.  Ask the on-site members to line up and come to the camera for a minute
  2. Ask the members to sit at the camera and
    1. Introduce yourself
    2. Select an online person
    3. Ask the online person to introduce herself
    4. Commit, you will be the buddy of that person during the meeting if she needs any help
    5. Ask the selected online participant to share a sign, when he / she is in trouble
    6. Ask the online participant to switch off the camera until the buddy selection
  3. When every offline person introduced herself, sit back to the chars and start the meeting
  4. As a buddy keep your half eye on your client

DevStories: hogyan kezdtem programozni?

Olyan logikusnak tűnt minden: bepötyögök pár sor kódot egy könyvből és máris futhat a játékom  a kölcsön kapott TVC-n, és akár kazettára is kimenthetem, vagy módosíthatom. Teljesen ártatlanul kezdődött úgy nyolc évesen.

De hamar jött egy kis programozás c4-en alsó tagozatban, majd egy 286-os másik kölcsön gép, ahol már a qBasic mindent vitt. Akár a megoldott matek házik ellenőrzését: koordináta geometria feladatok, egyenlet rendszerek megoldása kis szkriptekkel a kíváncsiság kedvéért.

Sokat inspirált nagybátyám, akivel fél évente, ha találkoztam, de mindig valami érdekeset mondott, de neki ez nem is volt a szakmája.

Az első látványos dolgok már HTML és JavaScript kódolással jöttek 1995-ben. A korábbi procedúrák a fejére álltak és a leírások absztrakciójának megértésében sokat segített AlieN a gimiben – a SHIFT gombot mindig nyomva tartjuk 😊

Azóta sikerült jó sok mindenféle jóba bele kontárkodni, bántam, hogy egyszer konzulensnek mentem, egy igazi fejlesztő csapatban már több mindent lehetett kódolni és tanulni.

Ma már mindegy milyen nyelv, vagy architektúra elé ülök. Sőt, az a legjobb, egy új frameworköt megtanulni egy coacheeval.

Your brain forms thoughts using two distinct and separated system. Only one of them is used in the same time:

  • System 1: quick reflex
  • System 2: slow reasoning

System 1 takes short-cuts and creating cognitive bias.

When you recognize this could happen you can ask more details to understand the context, what is behind.

Via this way you can activate System 2 during being curious and fix from a coherence story to a correct story.

Complex vs Complicated

I continue my notes on Erich R. Buhler book: Leading exponential change.


What can be complex:

  • there is no 100% correct solution
  • the situation has some elements, and they are illogical or not fully understood
  • multiple people involved with different expectations
  • high human factor with social and cultural conditions
  • politically charged environment
  • resistance with emotional repercussions

otherwise your problem is mostly complicated.
